We celebrate at BIAS a symbol of military aviation. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the entry into service of the MiG-15 bis, a jet fighter that marked an era in military aviation. Manufactured in Poland under the designation LIM-2, this aircraft was used in numerous conflicts and was a symbol of advanced technology during the Cold War.

Technical performances:

• maximum speed: over 1.100 km/h;
• maximum altitude: up to 15.500 m;
• range: approximately 2.500 km;
• armament: one 37 mm cannon and two 23 mm cannons.

Today, restored examples of the MiG-15 bis are exhibited in museums and participate in air events, continuing to evoke a pioneering era in military aviation.
